The WSIB wants to Pay Organizations to Work Safe
WSIB Premium Rebates
In response to industry demands, the WSIB will now reward employers who implement health and safety programs, or currently one in place. The reward is monetary and will be delivered in the form of WSIB premium rebates over a three-year period.
Who Qualifies?The WSIB rebate program is open to all employers Ontario-wide. The WSIB hopes that by offering this incentive, organizations without health and safety programs will be motivated to create and implement one. Employers with health and safety programs already in place may also apply. After all, it’s clear that having a health and safety program in place reduces injuries and illness and increases employee participation in safety. Now, with the WSIB offering even more incentive, there is virtually no reason to not implement a health and safety program today!
