Lift Truck Recertification Requirements in Ontario
You’re right. You won’t find a requirement to recertify every three years in the Occupational Health and Safety Act. However, you will find it in CSA Safety Standard B335-15 (R2020): The Safety Standard for Lift Trucks.
CSA Standard indicates that forklift certificates are valid for 3 years and that re-training shall occur within that time frame. Retraining and/or renewal and/or recertification must consist of re-testing and must include:

Don’t forget to keep your training records on file. Keeping training records is a key component of practicing due diligence, which is key in the case of a workplace accident or a visit from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development (MLITSD).
