Propane Handling (400-01) Training
Also known as 400-01, this course has been designed for individuals who use propane powered construction heaters (up to 400,000 BTU) and hand-held torches. Our propane handling course is ideal for all operators as it is designed to reinforce the importance of proper safety and handling techniques.
The program addresses the following:
- Hazards, PPE, preventative measures, First Aid, sources of ignition and testing for leaks
- Different sized propane cylinders, storage, transportation and regulations
- Responsibilities, types, rules, electrical requirements, combustion & ventilation, torches, hoses, fittings and regulators

+Course Length
The course takes 4 hours to complete.
+Certification and Recertification
Certification is valid for 3 years after which time training should be taken again to maintain certification.

Our health and safety training courses can quality for CPD points with the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA) and the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP).
This course contains 6.5 technical hours and may be eligible for HRPA and/or BCRSP CPD points.
