Distance learning, online training and virtual classroom training options now and in the future
The COVID-19 pandemic has driven many drastic societal changes over a very short time. One of those major changes is to the way people access education. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, online training isn’t just an alternative – it’s the future.
The Virtual Classroom Training is longer confined to brick-and-mortar classrooms. And that’s okay because training online has many benefits:
And now, there’s a new advantage to training online: it’s safe. The Ontario government has banned any gathering of more than 10 people indoors. That means that most training in traditional classrooms isn’t possible. In fact, it’s dangerous given the current climate. So, we’re bringing the classroom to you. |

MidSouthWest offers an effective, efficient, and cost-effective online training solution. Courses can be purchased online and accessed from smartphones, tablets, laptops, or desktop computers
No Classroom is No Problem
MidSouthWest offers an extensive asynchronous online training library. We also offer synchronous distance learning (classes that take place online at a specific time with a live instructor). Regardless of the option, the lack of a classroom is not a problem!
Train Where You Want
When you train virtually, you can train anywhere there is a reliable Wi-Fi connection. For most workers, that means from the comfort of their own homes. The days of being confined to classroom desks are over. |
Train When You Want
If you choose an asynchronous online training course, you can complete training anytime. You’re no longer constrained by traditional classroom timeframes. |
Train Using Any Device
Classrooms are equipped with projectors, screens, and whiteboards, but they’re not necessary when you participate in distance learning, so not being in the classroom is not a problem. The instructor will still have all of the teaching aids they need, and all you need is your preferred device: a smartphone, tablet, laptop, computer, or any other device that connects reliably to Wi-Fi. Casual Dress Code When you get to train from home, you get to dress casually and comfortably! You’re no longer bound to uncomfortable business-casual dress. Just don’t forget that for most distance learning we can see you, so we do recommend getting dressed in something other than PJs. |
|
Snacks
We don’t have to tell you that not being in a classroom means better access to your kitchen. You’ll have all the best snacks on hand so you can stay nourished and hydrated throughout the course. |
Dogs and Cats Allowed!
The best part of virtual training? Having your best furry pal at your feet while you learn. You can’t do that in the classroom! |
